Default Creating an Account and Subscription Fees

To register for an account, click on Register in the top navigation bar on any page and follow the instructions. Note that you will be required to provide a valid email account. Once you have submitted your registration, the next step is to check your email for a validation message from this forum - this will contain a special link you must click on (or copy-paste into your browser address box) to confirm that your email address is valid. When you have validated your account, the final step is approval of the account by Dr. Baxter.

You are encouraged to choose a member name which will not reveal your personal identity. This may be less important if your intention is to purchase a Premium Subscription (see below) and to post only in your personal private Premimum Member forum, but for posts in the general forums or the Basic Subscription forums please remember that other registered members can read your posts.

As an additional protection, all registered members may use the Anonymous Posting option (see thread). Note that the Administrator, Dr. Baxter, can still identify you by your registered member name, but no other members will have access to any information about who created the post.

There are two levels of membership available by subscription:

1. A Basic Subscription gives you access to the regular member forums, where you can ask questions and receive advice and general counselling. These member forums are restricted to subscribed members only, so anything you post is not visible to the general surfing public (or to search engines). However, the degree of privacy is, of course, limited by the fact that other subscribed members can read what is posted. If you select this option, you are advised to use a member name, not your real name, and a generic email address such as a Gmail, Hotmail, or Yahoo account. It is also recommended that you limit the amount of personal information you enter in your profile and/or in your posts. The current cost for a Basic Subscription is $25.00 CAD per month.

2. A Premium Subscription gives you an additional layer of privacy. Once you have successfully completed your registration, Dr. Baxter will create your own private forum which is invisible to everyone except you and Dr. Baxter (it is not even visible in the index). When you next log in, you should be able to see a forum with your member name as the title. Again, please note that nobody except you and Dr. Baxter can see that your private forum even exists, let alone have access to any of the contents. The current cost for a Premium Subscription is $100.00 CAD per month.

Subscription fees are payable via credit card, branded debit cards, or echeque using the Psychlinks secure PayPal account. You do not need to have a Paypal account yourself in order to use the service. You will be sent details for payments following successful registration.

If you prefer not to use online payments, please contact Dr. Baxter for alternate arrangements.

Default Re: Creating an Account and Subscription Fees

At present, this site is advertisement free.

In order to keep subscription fees as low as possible, limited and context appropriate advertising may be added at some time in the future. While every effort will be made to screen the content of such advertisements, please note that any and all advertisements will be clearly labeled with the word ADVERTISEMENT to ensure that any products or services are not necessarily personally endorsed by Dr. Baxter.
